Trauma-Informed Self-Care for Outreach Workers (2021). Resource Type: Archived Webinar . Description: The COVID-19 pandemic has been a traumatic event for people around the country and around the world. In their work, outreach workers have also navigated the trauma of farmworkers and their families, sometimes taking it on themselves. In this training, participants learned how to identify burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma that they, as providers, may experience when working with vulnerable populations. Facilitators led participants in exploring techniques to prevent or address it and will create and maintain a safe space for the participants to share their experiences, support each other, and engage in healing and mindfulness techniques.
