Resource Summary: This talk from the 2021 Advancing Excellence in Transgender Health conference will provide an overview of various alternative sexualities (including kink, BDSM, and fetish) and relationship arrangements (including non-monogamy, polyamory, and swinging). Participants will be introduced to the implications of discrimination against patients with alternative sexualities and relationship arrangements on healthcare, historically and currently. Presenters will share best practices for providing affirming care to these populations in physical and behavioral health.
