Resource Details: Self-care means something different for everyone and is one of the most important tools used to address and mitigate the negative physiological and psychological effects of burnout. One of the most critical—but often overlooked—aspects of self-care is the need for organizations to take the lead in creating an environment that lessens stressors and is conducive to practicing individual techniques. With the rates of burnout increasing among health center staff, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, immediate action and education is needed to support those who are serving the most vulnerable of populations with a goal to improve workforce well-being.

Resource Subtopic: Employee Well-Being.
