Resource Details: Research has consistently demonstrated that physicians trained in health centers are more than three times as likely to work in a health center in the future and more than twice as likely to work in an underserved area than those trained elsewhere. The establishment and expansion of primary care residency programs at health centers, referred to as “teaching health centers,\" increases access to primary care services for vulnerable communities.
