Resource Summary: This two-part webinar series will explore the impact of housing as a social determinant of health, particularly for LGBTQIA+ older adults. Participants will learn how structural inequity in housing assistance programs, family systems, and limited affirming placement options can lead to increased challenges for LGBTQIA+ older adults when securing safe and stable housing. Webinar attendees will learn best and promising practices for inclusive screening, and how to provide affirming referrals for housing or support for aging-in-place.

Resource Details: For this webinar series, The National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center is partnering with National Center for Equitable Care for Elders, The Corporation for Supportive Housing, The National Health Care for the Homeless Council and the National Center for Health in Public Housing to highlight the importance of housing security for Older LGBTQIA+ Adults.
