Resource Details: The COVID-19 pandemic continues to test the limits of healthcare delivery systems and the health workforce. The severe shortage of healthcare providers, which existed prior to March 2020, is still here. In fact, it has become even more drastic with significant increase in demand for care. The ongoing need to respond to this pandemic highlights the importance of creating data-informed strategic workforce plans in community health centers. The first step in this process involves understanding where the organization lies along several key metrics. In this session, the STAR² Center describes health center recruitment and retention data profile dashboards created for each health center organization. These profiles can help health centers to analyze their own data as it relates to recruitment and retention and compare their data to that reported by all health centers nationally. Participants also have the chance to hear how a California community health center leveraged the data profiles to enhance their recruitment and retention efforts. Listen to this session to learn how your team can take proactive efforts to evaluate data and identify gaps, which can be incredibly helpful as your health center builds its workforce response to the COVID-19 pandemic and develop strategic workforce plans.
