Resource Summary: This resource begins by explaining how HIV care is changing both in terms of advancements in care and complications in the delivery systems. Meeting the needs of those living with or affected by HIV/AIDS can be difficult for a standing population. Overlay those difficulties with the obstacles created by migration or authorization status and the possibility for confusion increased tremendously. This session discusses some of the impediments to HIV care experienced by migrants living with HIV/AIDS. It seeks to provide options to address the barriers and support those attempting to provide quality health care to migrants and other mobile poor populations.

Resource Topic: Clinical Issues, Special and Vulnerable Populations

Resource Subtopic: HIV/AIDS.
