Resource Summary: The American Academy of Pediatrics and Bright Futures recommend screening adolescents annually for risks that can result in a negative impact on their life and health. Presenters share a quick and effective method to screen students for BMI and other health issues. They demonstrate an online tool–developed by The Marshall University West Virginia School-Health Technical Assistance Center–that can help you utilize UDS and CHIPRA measures for BMI, support your quality improvement efforts, and engage adolescents to begin the process of self-management toward a healthier lifestyle.
