Resource Details: Mental health, especially for youth, goes untouched and unspoken far too often. The health and academic effects of poor mental health impact students, their families, and the communities they live in. Join the School-Based Health Alliance’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) as they share their perspectives on mental health, how SBHCs can promote awareness, and ways adolescents and adults can work together to overcome stigmas and improve student health. Focus areas include: mental health trends and misconceptions, understanding the impact of depression and anxiety, and practical strategies for youth, school, and family engagement.
